This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements our Terms of Service and applies to every user of LegendCV — candidates, recruiters and visitors.
1. Overview
LegendCV is built to help people present their real career story and connect with verified opportunities. We expect every user to act lawfully, honestly and respectfully.

You must not use LegendCV to:
- fabricate credentials, qualifications, employment or identities;
- impersonate another person, organisation or recruiter;
- upload defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or unlawful content;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- scrape, mirror, reverse engineer, or build derivative products from LegendCV;
- bypass authentication, rate limits, billing or AI safety controls;
- distribute spam, malware, phishing or social-engineering payloads;
- generate content that promotes hate, violence, self-harm or illegal activity;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without our written consent.
4. Responsible AI Use
AI outputs must be reviewed and verified by you before they are sent to employers, recruiters, regulators or any third party. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit using AI-generated content.
You must not use LegendCV AI features to:
- impersonate a candidate or recruiter you are not;
- generate fake certifications, degrees, references or work history;
- produce content that violates third-party platforms' terms (e.g. LinkedIn);
- create misleading job listings, salaries or company descriptions.
5. Recruiter Conduct
- Recruiter Users must comply with data protection, equal opportunity and anti-discrimination law.
- Only contact candidates for legitimate, current vacancies.
- Do not send spam, harassing, deceptive or off-platform marketing messages.
- Respect candidate visibility settings and unsubscribe requests.
6. Enforcement
If we suspect a breach, we may (at our discretion and proportionate to the issue): warn the user; remove offending content; restrict AI features; suspend the account; terminate the account and retain data only as required by law. We may also report serious violations to relevant authorities.
7. Reporting Abuse
To report a violation of this AUP — including impersonation, harassment, scraping, or fraudulent recruiter activity — email abuse@legendcv.com. We investigate every report.
